My Very First Post!

Hi, Well this is my very first post on my new blog! My name is Donna Wheat I am a paper crafter, mainly a stamper, I love messy techniques, my distress inks and my Gelli Plate. Just as a taster here are a few of my recent creations:
Stampscapes stamps

Sheena Douglass stamps with inky distressed background

Background using Gelli Plate, then flowers using stencil in black in and outlined in white gel pen

Background using Gelli plate, overlaid with acetate and mini stamp (the car not the size!)

Same stencil as above, but using moulding paste and painted with acrylic and then gilding wax

Indigo Blue stamp, coloured strip using distress inks and promarkers spritzed

Hope you like them, apologies for any Pinterest followers as these have already appeared on my boards. I will try and add some more cards later. As well as craft I enjoy time with my hubby and my dog Jess, here she is:

taken just after she was groomed, normally she is really scruffy!

Bye for now
Donna x

  2. So glad I happened upon your blog from the WOYWW site. I am amazed at your stampscapes cards. Would love to see more and learn more about them. It makes me think it is a work of art rather than just stamps. Because each one really is a work of art. How many stamps do you use for each scene? Are there directions or do you just make up your own? Do you have to use special paper or inks? Really cool ideas. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi Cynthia, thanks for your lovely comments. I have only just discovered stampscapes myself, they are very easy to use and if you need help the guy who invented them (Kevin, sorry can't remember his surname)has loads of tutorials on You Tube, however I use matt cardstock (reverse side of Centura Pearl card)and mainly distress inks with the odd dye ink thrown in if I need more colours. I have tried glossy cardstock as he (Kevin) uses but like the matt one better. I buy the stamps as A5 unmounted sheets so there is about 6-8 stamps per sheet and each set comes with an ideas sheet. Altogether I have only 3 sets and they all mix and match so I probably use 4 or 5 stamps per picture. Just completed another couple of cards, I'll post them later, thanks for looking x
